I Am Participating In This Challenge

Read Around the Genre Challenge

My friend Cindy is hosting this challenge. Come check it out. Play along. This is gonna go nicely with the Fall Challenge about to start.

Sneak Peek of the cover "At Graves End" by Jeanine Frost

I am tickled Pink to be able to show you the new upcoming cover for "At Graves End" by Jeanine Frost. This cover is so beautiful. In fact all the covers for her books in this series have been FABULOUS.
I discovered the author, Jeanine Frost through my book group,
Vampires, Witches Weres and all that .... on Shelfari. We read her first book "Halfway to the Grave" as a group read. Jeanine was kind enough to come to our group and answer our questions regarding her writing, and the characters. She is a new writer and this book was her break out series about Cat, a vampire hunter. The romance between Cat and her vampire lover Bones is Hot, Hot, Hot. Bones and his English accent just jump off the page at me when I read it. Can you say *SPICY* ?
Her second book in the series "One Foot in the Grave" surely did not disappoint. Jeanine surely threw us a few curve balls in both books. No spoilers here, but she left me dangling on a cliff by my fingernails at the end of this book as well as the first. So when she unveiled the cover of the next and 3rd book in the series, my wings began flapping excitedly ever since. I had to share this with you, my friends. I don't recommend you read this series. I INSIST you read this series. This other shot of the book I am sharing with you if of Cat & Bones in what they call the "Stepback" or inside cover to us not in the know. There may be some minor changes in the wording on the cover but the pictures shall remain the same according to Jeanine.
From the back of the book:
SOME THINGS WON'T STAY BURIED...AT GRAVE'S END

It should be the best time of half-vampire Cat Crawfield's life. With her undead lover Bones at her side, she's successfully protected mortals from the rogue undead. But though Cat's worn disguise after disguise to keep her true identity a secret from the brazen bloodsuckers, her cover's finally been blown, placing her in terrible danger.

As if that wasn't enough, a woman from Bones's past is determined to bury him once and for all. Caught in the crosshairs of a vengeful vamp, yet determined to help Bones stop a lethal magic from being unleashed, Cat's about to learn the true meaning of bad blood. And the tricks she's learned as a special agent won't help her. She will need to fully embrace her vampire instincts in order to save herself - and Bones - from a fate worse than the grave.

Check into her site to get a sneak at the first paragraph sometime in a month's time. I know I will be checking for that.

Still Doll

I was friggin obscessed with this song. I found it like a week ago. It was through a random thing of a thing and you know you just end up on some site of someone elses you don't even know, and they have the coolest damn song!!
I was going there EVERY day to listen to this song a few times each day. I had in the mean time, sent an email to the admit on the site and begged for the artists name and the name of the song. I had also whined to my buddy Evie, from Shelfari to please HELP me discover who sang this song. It was so lovingly haunting and different.
Well thankfully, tonight that admit responded to my email and gave me the info I needed. God Bless her pea pickin heart for taking pity on me and giving it up. Has that ever happened to you? Have you found something so different you have to KNOW or have that song? Did you discover it? What crazy things did you do to find out? Lemme know? Also, I have noticed that even though I don't speak any other language really than English, I have found that I love some of the songs I find in other languages. I could totally care less what they are saying. LOL Am I the only one? Again spill it....tell me all the details. Let's dish!

Summer Romance Reading Challenge

As an active member on Shelfari, this summer I participated in a Summer Romance Reading Challenge. I had the best time with this challenge and all it's members. We were taking up so much thread space on the Readers of Romance group that we made up another group just for the challenges. Some people are up for challenges and others find them restricting. I have all the time in world on my hands, so I LOVED it. I am about to do a wrap up on the books I read for the challenge. I thought it might be helpful if I posted the challenge and the books I chose to read. Should you want to read any of my reviews and see what rating I gave them. Just mouse over my shelf at the bottom of my Blog. Please note, I don't think I am some major writing expert and I tend to rate very easy. I use my emotions to make my decision some days.

What European City I should live in.

You Belong in Amsterdam

A little old fashioned, a little modern - you're the best of both worlds. And so is Amsterdam.

Whether you want to be a squatter graffiti artist or a great novelist, Amsterdam has all that you want in Europe (in one small city).

Well if I ever go missing......................................
